Infuse the kitchen and lounge/dining areas with a coastal ambiance while prioritising ample storage solutions.
Response:
A key aspect was creating a more open and practical kitchen layout, along with discreet storage spaces for appliances. The client emphasised the importance of an easy-to-clean splashback, leading us to select Quantum Six porcelain panels that offer both style and functionality. For the benchtops, we opted for engineered stone, ensuring durability and a sleek appearance.
To maximise storage capacity, we designed a walk-in style corner pantry that cleverly incorporated a dedicated benchtop area for appliances, alongside shelving for pantry items. The cabinetry throughout the space features a timeless polyurethane shaker style, adorned with sleek stainless-steel handles, imparting a clean and sophisticated look.
In line with the coastal aesthetic, we replaced the flooring with a beautiful oak-finished floating floor laminate. This choice not only brightened the room but also introduced a sense of coastal charm, tying the entire space together.
To enhance the ambiance and provide versatile lighting options, we strategically introduced various light fixtures. Pendants, downlights, and LED strip lighting were carefully placed to create different mood settings and add visual interest to the space. This comprehensive lighting solution adds depth and character to the kitchen and lounge/dining areas, completing the cohesive coastal vibe we aimed to achieve.
