To create new kitchen & lounge areas in keeping with the home’s unique style

The amazing features contained in this bespoke home created some significant challenges to hurdle. The oversized natural timber supports throughout required everything to be templated in order achieve a perfect fit for new joinery.

We also introduced a bench lounge with storage below. We customised the foam seating and cushions in colours to marry in with the joinery.

For the joinery in the kitchen and lounge we went with a grey/navy with a contrast neutral pallet. We decided to work with a more modern shaker style cabinetry. We introduced aged brass to the kickboards and shadowline for features as well as aged brass mesh on some of the doors. We added a backboard to the mesh doors so you couldn’t see into the cabinets. We introduced aged brass pendants as the feature, as well as downlights and LED strip lighting under the wall units and above the kickboards to highlight the aged brass. We also sourced leather bar stools that have detailed stitching as a feature.

The client’s appliances were all integrated and due to the location of the cooktop we introduced a Miele downdraft for the extractor.

We replaced a section of the V-Groove ceiling in order to introduce more downlights in an area where access was difficult. We also had to address some existing water leaks and paint throughout. The new kitchen layout also required us to match the existing timber floor.

The existing wood-burning fireplace was replaced with a landscape-style gas fireplace.
