The goal was to transform the space into a functional and inviting area that caters to the family’s dynamic lifestyle.
Response:
A comprehensive renovation was undertaken to refresh multiple areas of the home, including the kitchen, lounge room, bathroom, children’s bedrooms, master bedroom, walk-in-robe, ensuite, and study area. The aim was to create a more modern and inviting atmosphere throughout.
To achieve a contemporary look, all skirtings, architraves, and doors were replaced. Additional windows were introduced in the kitchen and lounge room to bring in more natural light, while the timber floors were sanded and polished to restore their original beauty.
In the kitchen, the U-shaped layout with limited storage and prep area was transformed. Walls were removed to make way for a spacious island, perfect for both food preparation and social activities. Bifold windows were installed, creating a servery to the adjacent BBQ and pool areas. The splashback, made of fixed toughened glass, overlooks the pool. The kitchen design prioritized efficient storage with the inclusion of drawers and integrated appliances for a sleek appearance. The color palette features a sophisticated combination of matt black and timber elements.
The study area is cleverly concealed behind bifold doors, complemented by custom-made timber handles that match the island and feature wall’s timber paneling.
In the main bathroom, the inclusion of a freestanding bath was a key requirement. A large picture window with louvres above was added to promote airflow, while a hidden motorized blind, discreetly integrated into the ceiling, provides privacy when needed. Oversized, recessed shaving cabinets were custom-built to maximize storage, and wall-hung custom vanities contribute to a clean and modern ambiance.
Overall, the renovation successfully rejuvenated the various areas of the home, creating a more contemporary and functional living space for the homeowners
