Renovate a tired beachfront property for a large family to enjoy.
RESPONSE:
A property nestled amidst breathtaking beach and ocean views was in dire need of a rejuvenation to fully embrace its natural surroundings. Our first step was to remove the wall facing the beachfront and replace it with expansive stacking sliding doors, seamlessly merging the indoor and outdoor spaces. The kitchen, designed with spaciousness in mind, boasts an oversized layout to accommodate everyone’s needs. A grand island measuring over 4 meters takes centre stage, featuring Corian bench-tops with elegant waterfall edges. The cabinetry exudes freshness, harmonising with the hues of the sea through white satin Shaker-style doors and glass splash-backs.
The objective for this house was to evoke the spirit of holidays, offering a relaxed and easy-care atmosphere. To maintain continuity, the existing timber flooring was skilfully matched and extended into all the downstairs areas. Substantial sliding doors, crafted from solid materials, provide the flexibility to separate living areas from bedrooms on the upper level. Adding a touch of luxury to the lounge room, a unique hand-made Persian knot rug was carefully chosen, drawing inspiration from the colours of the sea and complementing the exquisite Tigger Hall lounge fabric. Further joinery in the lounge room extends the cabinetry, offering ample shelving for family projects and cherished mementos. The implementation of new lighting and sound plans took precedence, ensuring that the interior ambiance would match the awe-inspiring view in its splendour.
