Transform the home both inside and out by refreshing furnishings, lighting, and functionality, while rejuvenating the garden and outdoor spaces.
ACHIEVEMENT
Originally a monochrome interior, we introduced warmth and depth through timber oak laminates and battening.
The kitchen largely retained its original layout, with updates to the doors concealing dual integrated fridge/freezers. We incorporated oak battening to replace a hidden door to the master bedroom and added oak accents to the island back cabinets. Custom oversized vents were installed for the air conditioning, and new ceiling-mounted lights were added above the island to enhance the lighting design.
A coffered timber ceiling above the new dining table now supports the artisan pendant light, “The Whale,” designed by Matteo Ugolini. Inspired by the majestic humpback whale, this piece captures the essence of its yearly migration, surrounded by waves of white foam.
Another pendant light, crafted from fiberglass, was introduced over the stairs, casting a soft glow throughout the space.
Custom TV joinery, storage doors, and a hidden door to additional bedrooms were designed in oak and white materials, creating a coastal contrast reminiscent of sea and sand.
We redesigned the interior and exterior lighting layout using cutting-edge technology for this smart home, allowing control from anywhere in the world.
The master bedroom received a makeover with a custom bedhead featuring soft curves, complemented by curved bedside tables and organic-style lamps to complete the look.
Outdoors, we incorporated composite decking, oversized porcelain tiles, and stone cobbles for a low-maintenance finish, ideal for the surf-side location. A new timber-look aluminum battened balustrade adds visual interest from the street, while a refreshed exterior colour scheme enhances the coastal feel and inviting charm. Timber-look aluminum cladding on the vaulted external ceilings further elevates the exterior design.
New outdoor furniture invites relaxation, making it perfect for enjoying pizza from the outdoor oven while listening to the waves.
The gardens now create a sense of distinct rooms within the landscape. Entering the property through a custom-designed stainless steel and timber-look battened gate, guests are greeted by a fragrant boardwalk lined with pleached hedged flowering trees. A water feature nestled under advanced frangipani trees adds delight to the walk to the front door.
At night, the gardens come alive with strategically placed hidden lights, enhancing the enchanting ambiance and complementing the moonlit surfside setting.
