To create the perfect entertaining space whilst capturing the panoramic view of Avoca Beach.
Clients employed The Essential Detail to design a more engaging kitchen – one that would capture the sea views and be a focal point for family and friends.
We consulted with our recommended builders who confirmed that removing walls, enlarging windows and opening up larger entries was all possible.
Once this was determined we could then design a functional kitchen with a palette of finishes, colours and furniture responding to the natural environment.
Opening the kitchen and dining area up created more natural light and increased the feeling of space.
We wanted to capture the client’s personality with a retro/modern style kitchen and dining area. The design needed to feel relaxed and laid back but also sophisticated.
We included recycled timbers in the project with floating shelves, bookcase and a timber niche above the cooktop to house all the necessary oils and spices for cooking.
The recycled timbers bring warmth and interest to any kitchen. We paired this with timber custom handles. Sourcing a specialty pendant light made of perforated iron with a
zinc finish to sit perfectly above the dining area added a level of grandeur; dining chairs, stools and rugs complete the picture
